We chose eco-sourced wood wicks for our candles because they provide an even and clean burn. We recommend that you trim the wood wick about 1/8" before each use. Let the wax melt to the edge of the jar during the first burn to prevent tunneling.

When we started Scent + Psyche, we were on a mission to create a better candle experience. One that didn't rely on overpowering scents. Using phthalate-free fragrance oils allows us to create a more intentional and layered fragrance experience while still providing a clean-burning candle.

We wanted to create a multi-sensory ritual. Wood wicks create a subtle crackling sound while burning. When paired with the right wax blend, wood wicks create an even melt pool and consistent burn. We only use eco-sourced wood wicks, which are made from responsibly harvested wood.

CUSTOM AMBER JARS
Beyond contributing to our modern apothecary brand feel, we also use amber jars for functional reasons. The amber glass helps filter UV light; that filtering protects the fragrance oils and helps preserve scent quality over time.
